Alongside the Audi RS 4, the RS 5 is the last German sports car to feature a naturally-aspirated V8 engine.
The BMW M3 and M4 have downsized to a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder, while the new Mercedes-AMG C 63 has received a smaller, twin-turbo V8.
